Soboleva beat the 108th racket in her first match at the WTA 500 tournaments

Ukrainian tennis player Anastasia Soboleva (WTA 217) had a successful start at the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane, Australia.

In the 1st round of qualification, the Ukrainian lost in three sets Darius Saville (Australia, WTA 108) in 2 hours and 35 minutes.

This was the first meeting of the rivals.

In the decisive match of the selection, Soboleva will play against Maddison Ingles (Australia, WTA 154), who at the start of the qualification beat Isaline Bonaventure (Belgium, WTA 941).

Soboleva played for the first time at the WTA 500 tournament. 20-year-old Anastasia became the first representative of Ukraine to compete in the new season.

Three more Ukrainian tennis players will perform in the main draw of the competition in Brisbane: Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska and Angelina Kalinina.
