Snigur held the first face-to-face confrontation against Christian.
Darya played for the eighth time against a representative of the top 50 WTA ranking and won her fifth victory.
Snigur started in Cluj from the qualification, where she defeated Angelina Kalina and Alyona Bolshova. In the first round of the foundation, she handled Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaona.
Daria’s next opponent will be the 130th ranked player in the world, Yuan Yue from China. Snigur had never played against this opponent before.
For Daria, this will be the second quarter-final match at the Tour level. In 2023, she reached the 1/4 final stage on the same courts (defeat to Tamara Korpach).
