In the second round of selection, the Ukrainian passed Carson Branstein (Canada, WTA 179). Carson did not finish the match until the end, giving up the fight in the middle of the second game.

Branstein withdrew due to problems with her right shoulder. For the first time, Daria held a face-to-face confrontation against Carson.
Snigur started in the Australian Open selection with a victory over Katarzyna Kava. In the decisive round of qualification, Daria will fight against the eighth-seeded Aleksandra Sasnovych.
Snigur became the third Ukrainian woman who managed to reach the finals of the AO-2026 selection. This was previously done by Yulia Starodubtseva and Angelina Kalinina.
Snigur is the third year in a row in the qualification of the Australian major. In 2024 and 2025, it entered the main grid.
