Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner shared his emotions after the victory over the Serb Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia. Sinner confidently beat the Serb with a score of 6:4, 6:2 and reached the final, where he will meet with Carlos Alcaraz.

Yannick Sinner: “You know, you think he said it all, right? He is an incredible example for us, the younger generation. Watching him compete, train and prepare for moments like this is inspiring.

What he has achieved in his career is simply incredible. I see him as a real idol. Playing against him is a huge honor and privilege. Of course I’m happy for this win, but I’m also happy just to see him around.

Djokovic: He kicked my ass. Struck from all angles. A derailed train

Was it one of my best serving matches? Yes, I really feel that I do.

I would like it to always work out like this, but no – we try to work on different things, improve as players. There are days when certain elements of the game work really well and in this match the pitching really worked beautifully. We’re all trying to get better, so we’ll see.

We worked hard last month – served for hours and hours. But if the result is like this, I am very happy.”

Sinner beat Djokovic in Riyadh and will fight for $6 million with Alcaraz
