The second number of the world ranking of the APR Yannick Sinner from Italy reached the semi-finals of the 2026 Australian Open.

In the quarterfinals, the Italian defeated the world’s seventh racket in three sets Ben Shelton (USA) in 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Sinner held the 10th head-to-head confrontation against Shelton and defeated the American for the ninth time.

Yannick will meet Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Australian Open. Sinner continues his successful defense of last year’s trophy in Melbourne.
