Ukrainian tennis player Vitaly Sachko (ATP 413) successfully qualified for the tournament in Lyon. In the first round of selection, he beat the Frenchman Geoffrey Blancano (ATP 270). In the second match, Sachko met with the Dutchman Nils Wisker (ATP 527) and won.

In the first round of the main draw, Vitaliy will play against the fifth seed Mykhailo Kukushkin (ATP 113) from Kazakhstan, whom he lost to in Wimbledon qualifying earlier this year.
