Sachko failed to reach the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Metz, losing to the 38th racket

Ukrainian tennis player Vitaly Sachko (ATP 222) completed the ATP 250 tournament in Metz, France.

In the semifinals, the leader of Ukrainian men’s tennis lost in two sets Lerner Tien (USA, ATP 38) in 58 minutes.

Vitaliy held a face-to-face confrontation against Lerner for the first time.

Sachko played in the semifinals at the Tour level for the first time in his career. Previously, Vitaly had never advanced beyond the 1/16 finals.

Sachko in Metz started in the qualification and entered the starting line-up as a lucky loser, where he managed to beat Giovanni Mpeschi Perricar, Alexander Bublik and Clément Tabour.

From Monday, Vitaliy will return to the top-200, rising to the 163rd position in the ATP rating.
