“Raphael Nadal sold his racket at auction”, – WRITE: Sport.ua
According to TMZ, the 14-time Open Championship of France sold one of its rockets dated 2017. However, only wealthy supporters could afford such a thing: a racket was sold from a hammer for 157 333 dollars (about 137,000 euros), and it became the most expensive tennis racket ever sold in history.
The previous record also belonged to the assignment – it rescued $ 139,700 (approximately 122,000 euros) for a rail from the Open Australian Championship in 2022.
The former first racket of the world performed with this racket in three tournaments in 2017: in the Master’s finals in Miami against Roger Feder, in the semifinals of the Masters in Madrid and, most importantly, in the finale, Rolan Garros, where he won over Swiss Stan Vavrinka.
“Finding Raphael Nadal racket used in the Finals of the Great Helme tournament is a rarity. The 2017 season again asserted Nadal’s status as an undisputed King of the Soil, and this racket is a direct relic of the campaign that went down in history, ”the auctioneers of Prestige Memorabilia said.
