January 8 Ukrainian tennis player Diana Yastremska (WTA 33) defeated Ann Lee (USA, WTA 91) in the 2nd round of the WTA 250 in Hobart, Australia.
The match ended with a score of 1:6, 7:5, 6:2 in favor of the Ukrainian in 2 hours and 10 minutes.
After Lee equalized at 5:5 in the second game, and Yastremska lost 5 set points, Dayana smashed her racket on the court. Probably, this outpouring of emotions helped her win in the end.
In the quarterfinals of the competition in Hobart, Yastremska will play against McCartney Kessler.
