Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios completed the ATP 250 hard tournament in Brisbane, Australia.

In the round of 16, the Australian lost to the Frenchman in three sets Giovanni Mpeschi Perricaru (ATP 31) in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

This was the first meeting of the rivals. During the match, no one ever made a break, and Giovanni and Nick served 51 aces – 36 and 15, respectively.

Kyrgios played the first match in 1.5 years and the second since the end of 2022. Nick was tormented by injuries for a long time and he still could not return to the court.

Giovanni will meet 4th seed Francis Tiafoe (USA, ATP 18) in the 2nd round of the competition in Brisbane.

Kyrgios will continue to perform on these courts in doubles in one tandem with Novak Djokovic. A day earlier, the Australian and the Serb beat the duo Alexander Erler / Andreas Mies.
