One of the favorites of the ATP 2024 Final Tournament canceled training in Turin

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz (ATP 3), which was considered one of the favorites for the trophy before the start of the 2024 Final Tournament, canceled today’s (November 12) training after 5-10 minutes of its start.

On Monday, the Spaniard lost the opening match of the group against Casper Ruud, and then announced that he had been ill for several days.

Carlos continues to have breathing problems, but for now he is not going to withdraw from the competition in Turin. Interestingly, Alcaraz had been taking antibiotics for the past four days, but they did not help him.

Alcaraz is focused on recovery and recovery. He will play his next match at the ATP Finals on November 13 against Andrei Rublev.

Juan Carlos Ferrero, who is Carlos’ coach, spoke about the well-being of the tennis player:

“He has breathing problems when moving, a little pressure in his chest. Inappropriate time for illness. We don’t have to guess whether he will play tomorrow or not.

We’ve all played under those circumstances. It seems to me that he will not get to the point of filming. But it will be difficult for him to be 100% ready for tomorrow’s match.”
