In the deciding game, Oleksandra won 4:2 (15:0) with one break, but lost the advantage. Before the tie-break, Oliynikova played three match points on the reception, but was unable to complete the comeback.
Oleksandra played her third semifinal at the WTA 125 competition and suffered her second defeat. In Florianopolis, the Ukrainian managed to beat Luisina Giovannini, Julia Riera and Panna Udvardi.
