“Farewell speech of the legendary tennis player after the defeat of the Spanish national team in the Davis Cup”, — write: sport.ua
Together with the departure of the Spaniards, the long-time leader of the national team, as well as the 22-time winner of the Grand Slam series tournaments, ended his career Rafael Nadal.
Rafa made a farewell speech:
“Titles, numbers, of course, exist. Apparently, people know them. But I would like to be remembered as a nice person from a small town in Mallorca. I was lucky that my uncle was a tennis coach, that I had a family that always supported me.
I was a kid who followed a dream, worked as hard as I could to achieve what I achieved. And one must be honest: many work hard, many teach every day – but I am very lucky. Life gave me the opportunity to live incredible moments thanks to tennis.
I want to be remembered as a good person and a guy who followed his dream and achieved more than he ever dreamed of.”
