Her next opponent will be Australian Madison Inglis, who advanced unchallenged to the fourth round of a major after ousting Naomi Osaka. Inglis became the first representative of her country since Ashley Barty in 2022 to reach the round of 16 of the Aus Open women’s singles.

Reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys beat former world No. 1 Karolina Pliskova, who returned to the tour after undergoing two surgeries. Pliskova played at the Grand Slam tournament for the first time since the 2024 US Open. Keys became only the second active tennis player behind Venus Williams (271) with 125+ major victories.
In the fourth round of the slam, Keys will play against world number six Jessica Pegula – the American has dealt with “neutral” Oksana Selehmetyeva. For the first time in her career, Jessica reached the 1/8 finals at two consecutive Grand Slam tournaments without dropping a single set.
The fourth racket in the world and one of the favorites for the trophy, Amanda Anisimova, easily defeated Peyton Stearns. In the next round, Amanda will meet the representative of China Wang Xinyu, who sensationally knocked out the 13th seed Linda Noskova. Wang Xinyu reached the fourth round of a slam for only the third time in her career.
