38-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Ilya Marchenko (ATP 1390) successfully started in the main draw of the ITF M25 hard tournament in Qiandaohu, China.
In the round of 16, the Ukrainian defeated the representative of China Zhang Minghui (ATP 2147) in three sets in 3 hours and 34 minutes.

Both Marchenko and Minghui started in Qiandao from qualification. Ilya defeated Zheng Yanjie and Li Wenjie in the selection.
Ilya won three matches in a row for the first time since May 2024. Marchenko will hold the first competitions from February 2025.
In the second round of the 25-thousandth event, Ilya will compete against Serhiy Fomin (Uzbekistan, ATP 462).
