Last year’s champion of the 1000 in Doha starred in the third set of the opening match

The fourth racket of the world Amanda Anisimova from the USA finished her performances at the WTA 1000 hard tournament in Doha (Qatar), where she won the trophy in 2025.

In the second round, the American took the court against the former number one racket of the world Karolina Plishkova (Czech Republic, WTA 418). Amanda lost the second set on a tie-break and withdrew from the match after five games of the third set.
