Kyiv native Eva Lys imposed a tight fight on Svyontek at the United Cup

German tennis player Eva Lys (WTA 39), who was born in Kyiv, had a good match against Igi Svyontek (Poland, WTA 2) at the United Cup 2026 team tournament.

Eva and Iga took to the court in the second game of the match between the German and Polish national teams. Lys took the first set from Svyontek and led with a break in the second, but the Pole managed to make a comeback and win in three games.
