It started beautifully. At the Australian Open 2025, the first finalist has been determined

The first racket of the world Arina Sobolenko (WTA 1) reached the final of the 2025 Australian Open.

In the semi-finals, the “neutral” beat the Spaniard Paulo Bados (WTA 12) in 1 hour and 27 minutes.

Arina Sobolenko [1] – Paula Badosa (Spain) [11] – 6:4, 6:2

At the start of the first game, Badosa led 2:0 (40:0) on her serve with a break, but gave away the advantage.

This was the eighth meeting of the rivals. Arina won the sixth face-to-face confrontation.

Badosa played in the Grand Slam semifinals for the first time in her career.

Sobolenko won her 20th match in a row on Melbourne courts. She became the champion in Australia in 2023 and 2024.

In the final, Arina will play against the winner of the Madison Keys (USA, WTA 14) – Iga Swiontek (Poland, WTA 2) match.
