In the first round of selection, the Ukrainian will play against Gabriela Knutson (Czech Republic, WTA 176). Anastasia had never played against Gabriela before.
The confrontation between Soboleva and Knutson will begin on January 31 at 12:30 Kyiv time. The winner of the match in the qualifying final will meet either Vendula Valdmannova or Loray Samson.
Soboleva will play a match at the WTA tournament for the first time since the end of December 2024 – then Anastasia appeared in the qualification for the 500th in Brisbane, where she first defeated Daria Saville, and then lost to Maddison Inglis.
The main draw matches in Ostrava will take place from February 1 to 7.
