26-year-old Hadi Habib (ATP 219) from Lebanon has made it into the main draw of the 2025 Australian Open.

In qualifying, Khabib beat Patrick Kipson (USA, ATP 208), Zeng Junxing (Taiwan, ATP 118) and Clément Shideh (France, ATP 191).

In the finals of the selection against Shidekh, Khabib took the opponent’s match serve twice and left with three match points at the reception.

For the first time in the history of Grand Slam tournaments, a tennis player from Lebanon will play in the main draw.

The drawing ceremony for the AO-2025 men’s main draw was held earlier.
