At the WTA’s soil tournament 250 in Sevastova Rabat has already won two victories: above Jasmin Kabbai (Morocco, WTA 810) [5:7, 6:4, 7:5] and over Zeinep Sonmez (Turkey, WTA 76) [6:3, 6:4].
For Anastasia, this will be the first quarterfinals in the last 14 months. Sevastova returned to tennis in April this year, and before that she did not perform since March 2024 due to injury and knee surgery.
She will fight against Romanian Jacqueline Christian (Romania, WTA 74), who in the first round of the competition overcame Elizabeth Kotlyar in the first round of the competition.
