Elina Svitolina will fight for her third trophy at Strasbourg

Organizers Internationaux de Strasbourg posted a list of participants of the main grid of soil tournament WTA 500 in StrasbourgFrance.

The current draw will be attended by seven tennis players from the TOP-20 world ranking WTA.

Among the main contenders on the trophy – a two -time champion of tournament Elina Svitolina. The Ukrainian tennis player will try to become the first since 2008 to win the title in Strasbourg three times. The last one who succeeded was Anabel Medina Harriguez.

Elina won the title in Strasbourg in 2023. It was her first victory at the WTA tournament after returning from maternity leave. Before that, she won here in 2020.

Other Strasbourg champions, declared for the tournament, there is a current winner of Wimbledon Barbor Krechikov, for whom Strasbourg in 2021 became the debut title in a single category. Within two weeks, she won her first trophy of the Great Helmet-Rolan Garros-2021.

Up to the ten strongest tennis players stated for the tournament include the ninth racket of the world of Paul Bados and the tenth – Emma Navarro. In addition to Svitolina and Krachikova, Daria Kasatkin, Beatrice Haddad Maya and Lyudmila Samsonova also included the top 20 tennis players.

Also in the main grid of the tournament, the Australian Open-2020 champion Sofia Kenin, and the finalists of the Great Helmemage tournaments, Daniel Collins and Leila Fernandez, was declared.

Wild Card owners will be announced before the tournament starts. The main grid matches will start on Sunday, May 18.
