In the semifinals, the American beat the “neutral” in two sets Arina Sobolenko (WTA 1).

This was the ninth meeting of the rivals. Goff won the 5th point match.
20-year-old Goff made it to the WTA Finals for the first time in her career. In the title match, she will play against Zheng Qinwen, who previously defeated Barbora Krejcikova.
Koko became second in the Orange Quartet at the group stage. Sobolenko, in turn, won the Green Group. This season, she became the champion in Oakland and Beijing.
