38-year-old Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic (ATP 4) withdrew from the ATP 250 hard tournament in Adelaide, Australia.

“Unfortunately, I am not physically ready to play in the tournament in Adelaide right now. It’s a personal disappointment for me – I have very fond memories of Adelaide, including winning here two years ago. I was looking forward to returning – this place really feels like home.

Now my attention is fully focused on the preparation for the Australian Open. In the near future, I will fly to Melbourne and look forward to meeting the fans in Australia,” Djokovic wrote on Instagram.

The competition in Adelaide will be held from January 12 to 17. And already on the 18th, the 2026 Australian Open will start.
