Casper Rud won his greatest title and the first Master in his career

Norwegian tennis player Casper Rud (ATR 15) became the winner of the soil tournament ATR 1000 in Madridthe capital of Spain.

The 26-year-old Norwegian in the final duel in three sets overheated the fifth-sown British Jack Draper (APR 6). In the decisive set, Casper, which has extensive experience of final confrontation on soil covering, was stronger.

The players spent 2 hours and 30 minutes at the court. Interestingly, tennis players have never played with each other, and in the first match they agreed in the fight for the title.

This is the first Norwegian title in the Masters Series tournaments. Casper is a three-time finalist of the Great Helmet tournaments (including Rolan Garros), and also went out to Master’s finals in Miami (2022) and Monte Carlo (2024).

For Rud, it was the 18th finals of ATP tournaments on the ground-only Novak Dzokovich (34) reached the current players.
