In the decisive fifth set, Alcaraz trailed 3:5, his opponent served for the match, but Carlos managed to get involved, taking four games in a row – 7:5 as a result.

Nole stated at this tournament that he intended to force a fight between Alcaraz and Sinner, although many were skeptical of his words. The Serb reached the fourth round without any problems, but he did not play there at all, as the Czech Menšík withdrew from the tournament. In the quarterfinals, Djokovic lost to the Italian Musetti – 4:6, 3:6, and led in the third game 3:1. At that moment, the opponent withdrew due to an injury – luck helped Novak here.

The real test was the semi-final against Yannik Sinner, a young and strong opponent who was considered the big favorite of the meeting. It was not easy for Djokovic to keep up with his opponent, but thanks to experience, he read the game better. In the end – 3:6, 6:3, 4:6, 6:4. Thus, Nole reached the fifth set, where he saved 8 break points, even from 0:40 down, he managed to take the opponent’s serve once, which allowed him to win the decisive set – 6:4.

The Serbian played in the finals of the Australian Open ten times and all attempts to take the title were successful. In total, Djokovic has won 24 slams.
