40-year-old Jamaican tennis player Dustin Brownwho completed his career last season, interviewed the “Friend” program on Tennnis Channel 2.

Known for his extravagant hairstyle and unconventional style of game Dustin told about his path in great tennis.

Brown, nicknamed Dreddi (worn long dreadlocks), at the beginning of his career, traveled from the tournament to the tournament in the van in which he lived.

“Losing in the first round, I think then was $ 117.50, and that was enough to fill the van and go to the next tournament. Sometimes I pulled racquets for other players. If the local strings took 10 euros for a racket, then I was five. ”

His non -standard game manner, alternation of powerful feed and shortened reception, frequent exits to the net and trick shots liked the fans. This technique was spectacular, but not always brought the winning result. And yet Dreddi stubbornly imposed on all the rivals his own game.

“Any of the guys who were in the top and whom I won, I pulled them out of the comfort zone and forced to play my tennis.”

Dustin Brown’s most famous match took place almost 10 years ago against Raphael Nadal at the 2015 Wimbledon. Then Dreddie sensually won Rafu at the stage 1/32 of the finals in four sets – 7: 5, 3: 6, 6: 4, 6: 4. The balance of tennis duels between Brown and the two -time Wimbledon champion remained in favor of Dustin – 2: 0.
