Basson has sent a written request for Wild Card to Wimbledon

The answer is expected a week before the start of qualification”, – WRITE: Sport.ua

French tennis player Lois Basson sent a written request for a Wild Card to Wimbledon. In case of refusal, the French will have to undergo qualifying selection to the main grid of the herbal mayor.

Despite the fact that Lois Basson confidently goes to a new level due to her speech on Rolan Garros, her new status does not open the door to all the most prestigious tournaments. Reaching the semifinals at the France’s open championship and providing for at least 65th place in the WTA world ranking, the Frenchwoman will not be able to take advantage of this rating to participate in Wimbledon. Cut (Cut) by rating for admission to the tournament was made before the beginning of the Paris Major.

In order to avoid participating in qualifying rounds, Basson sent a written request to give her a Wild Card. The decision to submit the application was made after release to the quarterfinals. The answer is expected at the beginning of the week preceding the start of qualification, that is, until June 23.

Wimbledon organizers have a total of eight invitations to the main grid of the tournament. However, unlike the Australian and US Open Championship, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) does not have an agreement with the All-Ungards Luna Tenis and the Crocket (All England Club), which would automatically identify one of these invitations to French players.
