Angelina Kalinin
Kalinin was registered for two tournaments before the start of the Australian Open (Brisbane and Auckland), but played in only one.
In Brisbane, Angelina quietly made her way to the semi-finals. She did not win any high-profile victories, although the match with Kimberly Birrell, where Angelina gnawed away the victory, was worthy of the final. In addition to Kimberly, Angelina also managed Wang Yafan, Diana Schneider and Yuan Yue. The Ukrainian lost to Polina Kudermetova in the match for the final match.
Kalinin did not go to Oakland. It was unlikely that she had any damage. Most likely, she just decided to rest. The week in Brisbane will definitely benefit Angelina, she looked at her level, made conclusions after the off-season, and went to Melbourne for the Aus Open.

Ons finished 2024 early due to a shoulder injury. The Tunisian tennis player returned to the Tour in Brisbane, where she managed to pass Zheng Saisai, Kateryna Alexandrova and Elina Avanesyan. And in the quarterfinals, Zhaber lost to Mirri Andreeva.
