Teams from Italy and the Netherlands made it to the playoffs from Group A. The Italians won all 3 matches, but the Dutch guaranteed themselves a ticket to the Final Eight thanks to the third criterion for determining places in the group.
The Dutch, Brazilians and Belgians won one match each, scored the same number of victories (4 wins and 5 losses), but the oranges had more sets won!
From Quartet B, Spain and Australia left. The Spaniards have 3 victories in match confrontations, and the Australians – 2. France and the Czech Republic have scored 1 and 0 points, respectively.
There was no intrigue in Group C either: the favorites – the USA and Germany – entered the playoffs, winning the first place in a face-to-face meeting. The Americans became the leaders of the quartet, the Germans took the 2nd position. Chile and Slovakia scored 1 and 0 points, respectively.
Canada and Argentina made it to the Final Eight from Quartet D. The Canadians scored 3 points, and Argentina – 2. The British have only 1 victory in the match confrontation, the Finns – all defeats.
