World Snooker Championship final tickets rocket to as much as £3,000 thanks Ronnie O’Sullivan effect

TICKETS for the World Snooker Championship final have skyrocketed due to the Ronnie O’Sullivan effect.

Interest in the tournament is at a high with the Rocket looking in top form.

The snooker star went on to beat Pang Junxu in the following round with some impressive shots.

The progress made by the seven-time world champion has had an impact on the ticket prices for the final.

Many supporters will be hoping to book their seats for the final and see O’Sullivan claim his eighth title.

But tickets will not be cheap, with the most expensive now going for an eye-watering £3,185 on resale brand Viagogo.

These tickets are on row B on the right side of the table while tickets on the same row on the left are £3,068.

There are some cheaper tickets available but the lowest price fans may have to pay is still £553.

This year’s tournament could be one of O’Sullivan’s last as he has hinted at his retirement.

He has claimed he is going himself two years to “figure it out”.

He told the Daily Mail: “I don’t want to finish my career feeling like I wasn’t really performing to the level that I know I can.

“I don’t have to win tournaments, but I just want to feel like I’m enjoying the game.

“I’d like to go out with a smile on my face.”

He previously admitted that the last time he enjoyed playing was back in 2018.

But he has insisted that he does not want to be the first of the class of 92 to retire.

O’Sullivan, Mark Williams and John Higgins have all appeared in the same World Snooker Championship quarter-final line-up, following 1998, 1999, 2011 and 2022.
