The teams are divided into two quartets:
Group A:
- “Warta Zawertze” (Poland)
- Volley Renata (Brazil)
- “Al-Rayyan Sports Club” (Qatar)
- Praia Clube (Brazil)
Group B:
- “Sada Cruzeiro” (Brazil)
- Perugia (Italy)
- “Swahili Sports Club” (Lebanon)
- “Osaka Bluetheon” (Japan)
The teams will play group stage matches from Tuesday to Friday, after which the top two from each group will advance to the playoffs. The semi-finals will be held on Saturday (December 20) and the medal matches on Sunday (December 21).
The current winner of the tournament is “Sada Cruzeiro”, which won the title 5 times – in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2021 and 2024.
Among the participants, only Perugia won gold (2022 and 2023).
In both groups, teams of Ukrainian volleyball students are playing: Oleg Plotnytskyi – in Perugia (group B), and Yuriy Gladyr – for Varta Zavertse (group A).
