“Denis Bondarenko died during a breakthrough on Azovstal”, – WRITE: Sport.ua
Career Denis Bondarenko was born on January 21, 2004 in the village of Stetskivka in Sumy region. After graduating from the comprehensive school of his native village, Denis joined the Institute of Physical Culture of Sumy Makarenko State Pedagogical University. The boy’s childhood and youth were difficult, because his parents often quarreled and eventually divorced, and the young man and his little sister were raised by his grandparents.
At the same time, life difficulties and troubles harden the young man and he grew up honest, decisive and kind to people. The school characteristics stated that Denis was always conscientious in teaching, was an active participant in student self -government and had his own opinion on each issue without being influenced.
Trace in sports The best Denis realized himself in sports. He advocated the football team of the district, trained at the Sumy Barca Center and repeatedly was the winner of competitions in military all -around.
The admiration for football and the love of sports and a sober lifestyle at a rather early age brought Denis to the fanat sector of Sumy football team. He was nicknamed Junior. In the full -time life, the guy represented the younger generation of the Gentlemann team, who was not afraid to accept challenges from the big and more powerful fanat groups. Bondarenko was also an active participant in the youth patriotic movement “Rights of Youth” in Sumy region, in particular the All-Ukrainian Children and Youth Military Patriotic Game “Jura”.
Combat experience and death With the beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, “Junior” went to Mariupol’s defense as part of a separate detachment of the special purpose of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”.
Denis Bondarenko died on May 1, 2022 during a breakthrough to Azovstal.
Honoring Denis managed to bury only on March 8, 2023. The warrior was sung in the Sumy Church of the Apostle Andrew the First Called, and he found eternal peace of Sumy in the Baranian cemetery.
Denis Bondarenko was awarded the Order of Courage III (posthumously).
