“I? Mr.?” Vinicius asked Alonso when he learned that he had to leave the field. “Why is it always me? I’m leaving the team. That will be the best. I’ll go,” the winger got angry and didn’t even approach the coach, going straight to the locker room. He later returned to the bench.
After the match, the Brazilian admitted that he planned to play against Barcelona until the final whistle, so he was angry with the coach. Alonso said at the press conference that he will have a conversation with Vinicius.
In the current season, the star Brazilian played 19 matches in all competitions, in which he scored six goals and provided five assists. Vinicius’ contract expires in June 2027.
