Lewis Hamilton’s debut season at Ferrari continues to be unsuccessful. During the third free practice before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the seven-time world champion had an accident.
The incident occurred on the approach to the 9th turn of the Yas-Marina track. Hamilton lost control of the car, turned around 360 degrees and crashed into the barrier with the nose of his SF-25.
The Briton radioed the team:
“Something broke in the front and came off in the back,” – after which he apologized to the mechanics.
The session was stopped for 13 minutes while the damaged car was removed from the track.
It should be noted that Hamilton is having one of the most difficult seasons in his career and for the first time risks ending the championship without a single podium.
