The winner of this year’s rally of Sweden was the Welsh pilot Elphin Evans, who advocates the Toyota Gazoo Racing Wrt team. He demonstrated stable and fast rides throughout all stages, completing rally with a total time of 2 hours 33 minutes 39.2 seconds.
The second place was taken by the Japanese racer Takama Katsuta, also from the team of the Tyota Gazoo Racing Wrt, raising only 0.1 seconds from the leader. His team team, Belgian Thierry Nievil, took the third position, giving way to Evans 1.2 seconds.
The current World Champion, Finn Kale Rovaper from Toyota Gazoo Racing Wrt, finished the fourth, setting up 25.1 seconds from the winner. Fifth place was taken by his teammate, Welsh Elphin Evans, with a backlog of 1 minute 24 seconds.
Sweden rally is traditionally considered one of the most difficult stages of the season because of extreme weather conditions and specific routes. This year’s competitions were no exception, giving the audience a fascinating struggle and unpredictable results.

After the two stages of the 2025 season, Elphin Evans heads the overall credit of the pilots, strengthening his position in the struggle for the championship title. The next stage of WRC will take place in Mexico, where participants will compete on gravel roads under the hot sun.
