Director of Oleksandr Usyk’s team Sergey Lapin stated that it is the Ukrainian champion who will determine with whom and when to enter the ring.
“Usyk will fight with whoever he wants and when he decides – he has fully earned this right within the rules of sanctioning organizations. Kabael is one of the possible opponents, but the final decision remains with us,” Lapin stressed, emphasizing Usyk’s control over his own fight schedule.
Previously, the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career. The boxer recently made the WBO title vacant and lost the status of absolute world champion.
