“Remember the third and penultimate season of the domestic team within the framework of World Series of Boxing”, – WRITE: Sport.ua
The beginning was encouraging: four victories in five matches. The Ukrainians overcame Mexicans (4: 1), the British (3: 2), the Chinese (3: 2), the Algerians (3: 2) and suddenly gave way to Moroccans (2: 3).
And then – from late February to early March – the worst period in the history of the team has come: three in a row losing. And if there were always 2: 3 powerful cubes, then the Russians and Mexicans were shocking 0: 5.
The victories over the British and the Chinese (both times 4: 1) came out to correct the tournament, but then – again the defeat from Morocco representatives (2: 3).
The “Atamans” were no longer entitled to a mistake. To reach the next round, it was necessary to win the last three meetings. With outsiders – Algerians – did not have problems: 5: 0. Later – revenge over the Russians: 3: 2. The last confrontation needed a miracle, because in the rivals-“Cuban Tamors”, which have previously won 13 out of 13 matches. Unfortunately, the miracle did not happen. In harbor, Ukrainians did not have the chance of success: 0: 5.
As a result, the “Atamans” became 4 in the group and only one point fell behind the Mexicans. For the first time in history, our team failed to go to the playoffs.

From the 2013/2014 season, which we talked in the second part, Rudenko, Maxim Shnyakin, Denis Shkarubo, Mykola Butsenko, Pavel Ishchenko, Yevgeny Barabanov, Taras Golovashchenko, Alexander Hanzul, Alexander Khizhnyak, Denis Prykhika, Yegor Plivevako and Victor, remained about in the second part.
