Blue and yellow made their debut in their first drawing of the League of Nations, winning the sensational victories over the United States (3: 0) and Cuba (3: 2). Further, Raul Losano’s team in the stressful five -seat matches gave way to Brazil (2: 3) and Iran (2: 3), demonstrating a high level of play.
In the second week of competitions, Ukrainians began with defeat from France (0: 3), but were able to restore the course and won three important victories in a row – over Turkey (3: 0), Japan (3: 2) and Bulgaria (3: 1), significantly improving their chances of getting into the final stage. For the third week, the Ukrainians also started with victory – against the Netherlands national team in the five -seat duel (3: 2).
Italy approaches the meeting with Ukraine with no less impressive indicators, having already 7 victories in stock. In particular, the first match of the third week was completed by the Italians with a defeat over Serbia – 3: 0.
