Seven biathletes hit the list of teams”, – WRITE: Sport.ua

The Biathlon Norway Team two months before the start of the new season presented the names of seven athletes who got to the first stage of the World Cup in the Swedish Estersund.

The Norwegian team, thanks to its high positions in the Nations Cup (2nd place among men and 4th among women) retained the maximum quotas for personal starts of the World Cup –10 biathletes (5 men and 5 women).

Biathletes who finished in the top 15 of the overall cup of the World Cup were the first to take the first stage in Estersund.

Thus, automatically the World Cup was selected: Sturela Legreid, Webian Sorum, Martin Uldal, Andre Stremsheim, Maren Kirkede and Karolyn Knotten.

The seventh biathlete in the application was Ingrid Tandrevold, who, although not falling into the top 15 standings, was noted for her achievements in the past.

The last three quotas will be played at the first stage from November 15 to November 16 at Gaylo National Start. 14 biathletes who will compete in sprint and Masstarta will compete for the permit.

The first stage of the World Cup in Estersund will be held from November 29 to December 7. In the Swedish town will be a sprint, an individual race, first and relay races (male, female and mixed).
