We will remind, before this, journalist Ihor Burbas reported that in the location of the national football team, the player was injected with stem cells taken from a cow, which could have meldonium in its body.

However, in Babelyuk’s opinion, this version is doubtful, since there are more proven methods in modern medicine.

“Stem cells are a long-known and widespread procedure in Europe and the world, which began to be actively used long before Ukraine. However, these stem cells are taken from the patient’s own tissues – fat, bone marrow or blood – to avoid an immune reaction of rejection. About to take such components from animals is completely out of the question, because it is dangerous,” the expert noted.

“I refuse to even think about the incredible scenario of infection of a cow with meldonium, from which cells were taken to inject Mudryka into the knee, because such drugs undergo at least some minimal cleaning, certification and preparation before being administered,” the doctor explained.

At the same time, he added that any scenario cannot be ruled out, but “this version sounds too fantastic and with a lot of logical gaps.”

The sports doctor put forward the version that Mudryk could have been injected with the drug Actovegin, but this still does not explain where the meldonium in the player’s body came from.

“All these meldonias, actovegins, cow’s serums are ignorance and cringe, that I simply have no words, how a player of the level of the Ukrainian national team and Chelsea can get bogged down in such things,” the expert expressed his opinion.

Mudryk got caught in doping: what is knownRecently, it became known that Ukrainian football player Mykhailo Mudryk passed a doping test. The doping test, which gave a positive result, was taken from Mudryk at the end of October.

On December 17, Mudryk confirmed that he had passed a positive doping test. However, he assured that he did not use prohibited substances deliberately.

A second sample should be tested soon, which will finally confirm or refute the first sample. If it is confirmed that Mudryk used doping, he will face up to four years of disqualification.
