The Ukrainian distinguished himself with his first productive action in the English championship

Midfielder of the Ukrainian U-21 national team Ivan Varfolomeev distinguished himself with the first productive action in the championship of England.

The 21-year-old scored an assist in the 8th minute to help Lincoln beat Barnsley in Round 23 of League One, the third-highest division.

Varfolomeev played 17 matches in the current season, in which he provided three assists – in previous cases, Ivan assisted in cup matches.

“Lincoln” scored 44 points and occupies the second place in the tournament table, three points behind the leader – “Cardiff”. The two best teams of the First League will receive direct tickets to the Championship.

Varfolomeev moved to England in August 2025 from the Czech club “Slovan Liberec” for 800,000 euros. In his career, the midfielder also played for Lviv “Rukh” and “Karpaty”.
