24-year-old biathlete of the Norwegian national team Martin Uldalwho ranks 11th overall in the World Cup, prematurely ended his performance at the fifth stage of the World Cup in Ruhpolding, Germany. The next stage of the competition and the start of the World Cup are at risk. 
The reason for this was the athlete’s intestinal problems that appeared after the races in Oberhof.
“Nothing serious, but it’s enough to affect his ability to ski fast,” the team doctor noted.
The coaching staff decided to support Uldal and left the athlete in the team for the fifth stage.
We will remind that Martin started the season at the IBU Cup, but due to his successful results, the biathlete was added to the main team for the third stage of the World Cup. In addition, the athlete became the winner of the sprint in Annecy.
