The artist decided not to continue participating in the voting for the 10th finalist of the competition and addressed the fans with a statement.On December 27, it became known that the performer gave up his place and withdrew his candidacy in the competition for the opportunity to represent Ukraine at an international show. Therefore, 10 contenders are now fighting for a place in the final, in particular, BRYKULETS, ENLEO, FIЇNKA, GRISANA, MON FIA, Ranrawi, Starykova Hrystyna, YAGODY, MUAYAD and “Listen to Sasha”.
On his Instagram, Oleksandr got in touch and explained why he decided not to continue participating in the contest. He confirmed that he had indeed terminated the contract with the organizing committee. According to him, he took this step so that, as they say, “there would be no accusations of hype on a sensitive topic.”
In addition, the artist invited fans to his solo concert in Kyiv and thanked all those who voted for him and believed in his victory in the National Election.
“Friends, we withdrew from the National Selection for Eurovision this year so that there would be no accusations of hype on a sensitive topic. The public agreed with our position. Thank you to everyone who supported. Eurovision is still important to me, so we will definitely hear from you again.” – wrote TESLENKO.

The reason for such statements was the scandal with another participant of the ENLEO competition, who admitted that he listened to Russian songs during the war. Then Oleksandr demanded that his colleague’s candidacy be removed from the vote, and he also said that if ENLEO made it to the finals, he himself would refuse to participate. The artist did not wait for the start of voting for the 10th finalist and decided not to continue participating in the show.
It will be recalled that earlier ENLEO gave a comment on the scandal with Russian music. He stated that he does not have the goal of promoting the creativity of artists from the Russian Federation.
