The Paphos player broke Kucher’s record in the Champions League in the match against Kairat

Player of Cypriot “Paphos” Juan Correia set an anti-record in the match of the third round of the Champions League against Kairat, which takes place on October 21.

The 29-year-old footballer from Cape Verde started for the visitors, spent three minutes and three seconds on the field, after which he saw a red card in front of him.

This is the fastest elimination in the history of the Champions League – the previous record belonged to Shakhtar Donetsk defender Oleksandr Kucher. The Ukrainian football player left the field after three minutes and 59 seconds in 2015, when the “miners” played against the German “Bavaria”.

After two played rounds, “Paphos” scored one point – the Cypriot team lost to “Bavaria” (1:5) and drew with the Greek “Olympiakos” (0:0). “Kairat” suffered two crushing defeats – from Madrid “Real” 0:5 and Lisbon “Sporting” (1:4).
