48-year-old Dutch coach Patrick Kluivert will lead the Indonesian national team in the near future.
According to the Telegraaf publication, the former star footballer of “Barcelona” aims to lead the national team to the 2026 World Cup.
Patrick Kluivert played 182 matches for Barcelona, scoring 90 goals.
After finishing his career, he worked as an assistant coach in the Dutch clubs AZ Alkmaar and Nijmegen, as well as in the Cameroon national team. In addition, he served as the head coach of the Curacao national team.
The specialist’s last place of work was “Barcelona”, where he worked as the director of a children’s academy.
After six rounds of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, Indonesia is third in a group that features Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and China.
