The 23-year-old forward has penned a record three-year deal until 2028, making her the highest-paid player in NWSL history and, according to her agent, in world women’s soccer.
Rodman joins the league’s “millionaires club,” following teammate Sophia Wilson, becoming the second NWSL player to earn seven figures.

Despite serious interest from European clubs, in particular from England, Rodman decided to stay in the USA. It was a big success for the league and club owner Michelle Kang.
“I have made the Spirit my family and I want to continue the next stage of my career right here,” said Rodman, emphasizing that the team is focused on titles and development.
To keep the stars, the league introduced the “High Impact Player Rule”, which allows top players to be paid up to $1 million over the salary cap. At the same time, the players’ union continues to appeal this decision.
Rodman has been with the Washington Spirit since the beginning of her professional career, having been selected second overall in the 2021 NWSL draft.
