It is expected that the official representation of the Finnish racer will take place next week, during the Netherlands Grand Pr. Bottas has long been associated with Cadillak, and he has repeatedly emphasized that priority for him is to return to regular starts in the championship.
The American team plans to spend several test trips (TPCs) in the second half of 2025, probably on the older car by Ferrari, to get ready for debut as best. Therefore, it is logical that Bottas will join the team in advance to start integration and work together.
Cadillak is headed by the team leader Graham Lowudon, well acquainted with Bottas. Earlier, he worked as a manager of Zhou Guanuyu, who performed three seasons in Suuber with Finn before both left the formula-1 at the end of 2024.
Bottas is currently responsible for a backup pilot in Mercedes, helping Kimi Antonelli in his debut season. It is still unknown whether he will complete his cooperation with Brekley team early. In Mercedes Bottas, he performed from 2017 to 2021, winning 10 victories at the Grand Prix, 20 Poles and 58 catwalks.
His extensive experience in the championship will be a significant advantage for Kadillak, which in 2026 will join formula-1, expanding the starting grille to 11 teams-for the first time since 2016.
The second pilot has not yet identified the American team. One of the candidates is called Sergio Perez, but he is also interested in mountaineering. Cadillac was also associated with several younger riders, but it is unclear whether the novice F1 will take the novice to put a pilot with limited experience.
