Sinner became a famous opponent in the finals of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna

Number three in the ATP ranking Alexander Zverev from Germany reached the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna, Austria.

In the semifinals, Zverev defeated the fourth seed in two sets Lorenzo Musetti (Italy, ATP 8) in 1 hour and 33 minutes.

Zverev and Musetti held their fifth face-to-face confrontation. Alexander defeated Lorenzo for the second time.

Zverev made it to the 40th final in his career. 28-year-old Alexander now has 300 victories on hard courts (134 defeats).

Zverev became the opponent of the first racket of the world Yannick Sinner in the final of the 500 in Vienna. Sinner knocked out Alex De Minaur in his semi-final match.

Previously, Sinner and Zverev played against each other seven times, the score was 4:3 in favor of the representative of Germany. In 2025, Yannick and Alexander had one personal meeting – the Italian won the final of the Australian Open.
