Donetsk “Shakhtar” will sign the leader of LNZ Prospera Oba instead of the top legionnaire Glaker Mendoza, who plays as part of Kryvyi Rih “Kryvbas”.
According to the source, the “miners” were interested in the services of the 23-year-old Venezuelan, but were forced to refuse this transfer due to financial conditions.
The parties held negotiations, which ended without results, as “Kryvbas” demanded about five million euros for the legionnaire. For this reason, the Donetsk club decided to sign the LNZ football player instead of Gleiker.
“Shakhtar” and the Cherkasy club have reached an agreement in principle regarding the transfer of the 22-year-old Nigerian, whose transfer will cost 4.5 million euros.
In the current season, Oba played 16 matches in which he scored eight goals and provided three assists. Mendoza has 15 games, five goals and nine assists.
